I was so excited when it arrived. I could just envision my peaceful future of silence. I could feel my body tremble with excitement. This is better than Christmas anticipation. Opened it up, watched the video and waited for the barking to begin. Took out the rolled up magazine and clicker at same time. Pointed the magazine at him and got the low argumentative grumbling. Now yall know this grumbling ain't really low. It's just not as loud as the barking. You still can't have a conversation with another human. So I press the first button. Oh boy he has a new toy! The barking got louder and the excitement in his eyes grew. I pressed the second button. Oh no! He stopped dead in his tracks, ears and tail on high alert and starts bouncing around, like the floor is a trampoline, barking trying to find the sound. The third button with the lights just showed him where the sound was coming from and now he's super excited that he has a new toy we can use together. Of course my dog is in the 3% of dogs that it doesn't work on. Lucky me!

Bought this product because I have issues with one of my dogs being over zealous and jumping on me... and he also rips stuff up when he helps himself to the kitchen counter, only when we leave the house. Long ago I had bought a collar that would shock my dog when he barked.... like 20 years ago. I figured out that the collar was probably shocking him when he ran or whatever... and ended up scaring the dog. For years all I had to do was go grab that collar and show it to the dog and he would shut up. I have since learned that those collars are super inhumane and have warned people off of them and was hesitant to buy this product along those same lines.
This product has 3 buttons. One that you can use as a warning. Then another that emits a high pitched sound we can not hear. That one gets my dogs attention and he stops doing what ever he was doing. He does not like it. I have only had to use the 3rd one once.... and whatever it does.... he does not like it.

I have a very stubborn German Shepherd show is very dog sensitive - in her god forsaken protective mode. She barks riding in a car, when she sees another dog walk by. She even decided on certain people she doesn't like and bark at them too. She not only barks, she lunges too. Tearing the up-postry in the back seat.
I tried all kinds of training methods, including calming, diverting, treating and even bought a Ultrasound Unit made in China by an unknown company that did not work. When I got this NPS unit, charged it up very quickly and tried it on my dog. Wow, it worked. Dog ( 80 lbs) stopped on her tracks when the untrasound was activated. She wasn't sure what that was, wanted to charge again. I said "Stop" and activated the unit again. She stopped. Once she calmed down, I gave her a treat. Next time, all I have to do is to show her the unit. It has only been 4 days, we are still training in progress. I do use the unit inside the car, it works. I display the unit while driving, the dog is taking note.

I have had a wonderful dog that is a breeze and with the exception of barking at the mail person was pretty chilled out and seemed to enjoy a bit of quiet like her mommy here. We recently adopted another pup which was not the plan or expected but life brought this sweet boy into our home and he is wonderful but barks constantly at anyone walking outside the door which is frequent where I live. My first dog is a rescue and is super sensitive to my raising my voice, but the new guy is a total happy go lucky ding dong so I was trying to be stern in my voice commands, which had no affect except that they made my other dog cower and get guilty face on his behalf.
I did watch the video which is not long and complicated and this thing changed our household in 1 day after just a few rounds. I have never even used the highest button, no need.

First things first. This is awesome. I have a Chiweenie that would bark at everyone and everything. Since getting the product he's so much more behaved (he's very stubborn). Before when strangers would come inside I'd have to hold him or put him in another room because people were afraid of him. Now I just pull out the device and he behaves. When the site of it doesn't work, I "beep" him. If that doesn't work I "zap" him (what I call using the audio sonic button)
This is a valuable training tool. I recommend watching the video they suggest just to familiarize yourself with how to use the product. From what I can tell this does not harm my dog. (he's a big baby and has not cried once from using this tool).
In conclusion, just buy it. I regret not getting it sooner and wasting my money on other products.

I bought this to help me train my dog, Biscuit, to stop jumping on people and to not bark at every little noise that happens in the course of a day.
After watching the video and reading all the relevant information regarding how to use it, I began using it at the beginning of the day. As usual, Biscuit began barking at the kids who were outside gathering to meet the school bus so I took out the device and pressed the button that activated the ultra I'msonic tone. I was pretty excited when she immediately quit barking and looked at me with this guilty look on her face. I told her 'no barking' and went back to what I was doing. She was quiet for a minute but began barking again.

This was a settle-for because we didn't really want bark collars. However, after receiving the device (very quick shipping) I discovered I could not only get my dogs to quit jumping on our vine-covered wall to scrap with the neighbor's dogs, I could also discourage the neighbor's dogs. They turned and went right back in their doggy door!

No, it does not make my dogs immediately behave, but after a push or two, or three, of the activating button, they come away from the wall (of course we give a verbal command as well). These are the same two dogs my wife and I had to grab by the collar and drag away from the wall (two new rescue dogs, both of which we like very much, just have issues with other dogs at this point).

I have used this for one day and my little Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) stopped barking at people almost immediately. I live in an apartment where it seems there is someone coming or going at any given moment if I'm outside with him. After he got the idea of it, I hung it on my belt loop to have it immediately available when I'm home. Since he loves to go out on my balcony I need it close to grab if he starts to bark. Like one person's review said, he would bark at anyone walking by or anyone even thinking about walking by. Now he's going out on the balcony just checking things out but not barking. What a relief! It's been very stressful trying to get him to stop. My little boy is six and a half months old. And the instructions said not to use on dogs less than six months of age. I wasn't actually aware of that when I bought it. So be sure your dog is at least six or more months old. Thank you for this product. It has changed my life in just one day!
